Organisation data

The IATI Standard is built around two types of data file: the Organisation file and the Activity file.

Your Organisation file includes information such as your organisation’s name, identifier, forward-looking budgets, total expenditure, and links to documents like annual reports and strategies.

The table below lists the information you can include about your organisation, and shows whether each item is mandatory, recommended, or optional.

Total Budget	Recommended	Annual organisation budget for development and humanitarian work, including current and future years where possible. Include a total budget value for every year that your organisation has been publishing IATI data.
Documents	Recommended	This may include annual reports, strategic plans, data exclusion policies, or other documents relevant to your organisation and its work.
Recipient Organisation Budget	Optional	The annual amounts your organisation plans to disburse to each of your partner organisations.
Recipient Country Budget	Optional	Annual, forward-looking budget for each country worked in by your organisation.
Recipient Region Budget	Optional	Annual, forward-looking budget for each region worked in by your organisation.
