PDFSweden - International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)#
Since 2025, Sida requires partner organisations to publish information about Sida-funded activities to IATI.
Openaid.se#
Sida collects information about Sida-funded activities from published IATI data and displays it on openaid.se. The information is also used internally for analysis, monitoring, and follow-up.
Tip
You can view data published by Sida’s partners here: https://openaid.se/en/organisations/partner-data-and-mediation
Which organisations does the requirement apply to?#
Sida’s requirements apply to all organisations that have IATI publishing included as a condition in their agreement with Sida.
The requirement was adjusted in 2026. Previously, the requirement also extended to partners’ subcontractors (forwarding of funds) at all levels. Sida encourages subcontracted partners to publish to IATI when suitable and manageable. However, Sida will only follow up that Sida’s direct agreement partners publish to IATI.
How do I link my activity to Sida?#
See section How do I link my activity to my funder?
Sida’s organisation identifier is SE-0
Sida’s IATI activity identifiers have the format SE-0-SE-6-XXXXX, where XXXXX is a 5 or 8 digit contribution ID. You can find the contribution ID in your agreement document or by searching for the relevant contribution on openaid.se. If you are unsure, ask your programme manager at Sida.
Note that Sida publishes activities at two hiearchy levels. Activity identifiers with the format SE-0-SE-6-XXXXX-YYYYYYYYYY are second-level activities (called components), where YYYYYYYYYY is the 10-digit component ID. When you link your activity to Sida it is recommended to refer to the contribution (top-level activity), but either level can be used.
Results information#
Sida does not require results information to be published in the IATI format.
